An oldie, but a favorite!

This digital image from Saturated Canary is still one of my favorites. I’m sorry to say that digital images are no longer for sale from this company, but I think they still offer rubber stamps. The image was called Frizzy Jynx and I think she is so cute and fun!

I made this as a hanging 2 sided card rather than a card that opens, and hung it over the handle of the gift bag. The paper I used was from the Simple Stories “Fabulous” 6×6 paper Pack. I colored the image with Copic Markers in colors that coordinate with the background paper.

Hello Pumpkin!

Today I’m sharing two cards made with the Neat & Tangled “Hello Pumpkin” stamp set. This set was part of the Simon Says Stamp 2017 “Stampember” release. (As of this posting, it is sold out). I just love this set, it is so cute! These cards were also so much fun to make.

The top card design is not mine, I was inspired by this video from Nichol Spohr. She has some of the best card making videos I have seen.

Supplies I used: Copic Markers, Distress Oxide Inks, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables Die Cuts and the Lawn Fawn Landscape Stitched Hillside Die Cuts.

Chili Cook Off Thank You Card

Hello,

This is a “Thank You” card I made a couple of years ago but never posted.  I was looking through my old pictures recently and though I would share it now.

In our community, one of the things they do to kick off the United Way Giving Campaign is a Chili Cook Off.  The office where I work participated and and I made this card for the wife of one of my coworkers who works in the local catholic school kitchen, as she helped us make the chili.  (The rules for the cook off is that the chili has to be cooked in a commercial kitchen – and she pretty much did all the work as it was way faster – we just helped by handing her the ingredients.) We bought her a gift card to the salon she likes for helping us so much.  We didn’t win the cook off but it was really fun attending the event. I have also included a picture of our booth for fun.  The theme that year was “Las Vegas”, and as we are a construction company, we went with Casino’s that have all been demolished!

The image on the front of the card is a Mo’s Digital Pencil Stamp called “What’s Cooking“, I love this image as she reminds me of a friends daughter! I colored her with Copic Markers and the background paper is from my paper stash and it is pretty old, but I believe it was from “My Minds Eye“.  I also used the same paper to create the pocket on the inside of the card.

Thanks for looking!

Christmas 2015 Card Post #2

Hello, today I am sharing another Christmas Card that I made.  It also uses a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp from the Jack, Patch & Puss line.

This one was a little bit different and special as it was to say Thank You to our Veterinarian. This past year had been a long and difficult year for our dog, Mandy, who was 15 years old.  She was slightly blind, deaf and possibly suffered a stroke, and on December 2nd, I knew it was finally time to say goodbye to her.  Our veterinary office was so helpful and kind during this time.  I had previously made two other appointments to say goodbye and then backed out as she seemed to be better on some days than others, but this last time I knew there was no going back, it was time to say goodbye.

I used most of the same supplies as the last card post, so I will not repost here.  Only the paper is different, which I am not sure, but think it was from Simple Stories.  Below I will add pictures of my dog Mandy.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave a comment if you’d like.

Hello, today I am sharing one of the Christmas Cards that I made for 2015 for family/friends.

This card was made with a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp, that unfortunately is no longer available. The stamp I believe was from the series called Jack, Patch & Puss.  They are so cute, I’m not sure why they stopped carrying them.  This one is just Jack (the bunny) and Puss (the kitty).  A list of craft items used to create this card are listed below.

Hi Everyone, today I am participating in Challenge #58 over at the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog.

The theme for Challenge #58 is:
“Untraditional Christmas Colours” so for this challenge we want to see you stay away from those reds, greens and golds of christmas and into something different!!

The digital image I used is called Molly, isn’t she cute?

I printed her out on some Copic Xpress It Blending Card stock and colored her with Copic Markers.   The designer paper is from the My Mind’s Eye – “Merry Little Christmas” 6×6 paper pad that I purchased from Michael’s.  I love these 6×6 paper pads, they are perfect for card making as the patterns are scaled down from the 12×12 scrapbooking versions.

The card base and layering paper is a piece of Black Card stock from my local copy shop. It’s a heavier weight maybe 110 lb card stock which makes for a nice sturdy card base.  I added some decorative elements by using the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics from Simon Says Stamp and added some paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The Copic Maker colors I used are:
Skin & Parchment Roll – E50, 51 & 53, R20 on her lips and cheeks
Hair – E 42, 43 & 44
Clothes – R81, 83 & 85, YG61, 63 & 67
Background – BG10, 11 & 15, W00, 1, & 3
