An oldie, but a favorite!

This digital image from Saturated Canary is still one of my favorites. I’m sorry to say that digital images are no longer for sale from this company, but I think they still offer rubber stamps. The image was called Frizzy Jynx and I think she is so cute and fun!

I made this as a hanging 2 sided card rather than a card that opens, and hung it over the handle of the gift bag. The paper I used was from the Simple Stories “Fabulous” 6×6 paper Pack. I colored the image with Copic Markers in colors that coordinate with the background paper.

All You Need Is Love

Well, I finally completed a card using the image I water colored with Distress Inks a few weeks ago.  I made it for two co-workers who got married this month.  I ended up going really simple with this one, just one kind of patterned paper mounted first on black card stock and then on a heavy (110 lb) bright white card stock with the image its self being mounted on the black card stock as well.  It is not a folded card that opens, but rather just a flat (one side) image to frame or put in a scrapbook, however we did all sign the back of the piece to commemorate their big day!

The patterned paper is from Simple Stories and is from the HomeSpun Collection – Item #3806 – Homemade.

The “all you need is love” expression is a stamp from PrintWorksCollections.com and was really fitting as the bride loves the Beatles.

A Trio of Kitty Cards

This trio of Kitty Cards was made using a Christy Croll image called Mavis Has a Daisy. It’s a rubber stamp from Stamping Bella. I have used this stamp once before, but this time I tried a new coloring technique using Ranger Distress Inks on watercolor paper. This is the first time I have tried this and I really liked the results. There are some awesome video tutorials on YouTube that I found. One channel in particular, AnnieRoseMakesThings, I love her videos. Here is a link to her blog, http://AnnieRoseMakesThings.blogspot.com check it out sometime. The pattern paper I used is from the Harvest Lane line by Simple Stories. The solid colors are some embossed papers from Bazzill Basics I think. Mavis Has a Daisy - Trio Of Cards
